This is an excellent opportunity for a Health Care Assistant Float at our Milwaukee Health Centers. As a valuable member of our team, you will assist patients seeking sexual and reproductive health care by interviewing, screening, educating, and preparing them for their appointments.
In this role, you will be a vital part of the health care team, providing both medical and administrative support to ensure efficient clinic operations. Your day will involve facilitating clinic flow, ensuring the availability of patient care supplies, performing laboratory and screening procedures, and participating in the implementation of patient care plans. You will also handle front desk duties, communicating clearly and effectively with patients, staff, and external parties in a courteous and friendly manner.
As a Float position, you will have the flexibility to work across different centers as needed, requiring occasional regional and/or statewide travel. You will receive paid training to learn how to deliver clinical care and complete medical administrative tasks, ensuring you are fully equipped to support our mission.
PPWI's compensation philosophy is rooted in equity. Starting offers are determined by both the candidate's applicable experience and internal equity. The Health Care Assistant pay starts from $20.15 per hour, with an additional $1.50 per hour for bilingual (English/Spanish) skills and a $3.00 per hour float incentive.

Experience with electronic health records (EHR), electronic practice management (EPM) system, Office 365, and Microsoft Office Products. Certification from an accredited medical assistant technical program. Experience in reproductive health, family planning, obstetrics, gynecology or related medical/surgical experience.
