About the Role
As a Header Cleaner at Chart Industries in Tulsa, you play a critical role in ensuring the quality and safety of our finished products. This position is dedicated to removing all non-conformities from completed headers, preparing them for final finish or plating. You will work closely with the production team to maintain high standards of accuracy and neatness while adhering to strict safety protocols.
In this safety-sensitive role, you will utilize a variety of hand tools, power grinders, and inspection equipment to grind weld seams, remove flash burn and splatter, and smooth curved surfaces. Your work involves analyzing prints for discrepancies and managing job completion within our Syteline system. Success in this role requires a proactive approach to safety, where you are expected to not only follow all company policies but also encourage safe behavior among your peers.
Physical Environment & Safety
This position operates in both indoor and outdoor environments, often subjecting you to extreme heat (temperatures above 100°F), noise levels requiring shouting to be heard, and various atmospheric conditions such as fumes, dust, and odors. The role demands significant physical exertion, including lifting up to 50 pounds occasionally and working in narrow aisles or small spaces. Due to the use of heavy machinery and power tools, heightened awareness and strict adherence to all safety protocols are essential to ensure the safety of yourself and others.
