The Handyperson serves as a vital member of the Maintenance department, ensuring the property remains safe, clean, and functional for all residents. Reporting to the Property Manager or Building Superintendent, this role is essential for maintaining the building's physical integrity and grounds. The position requires a versatile individual capable of handling a wide range of tasks, from minor repairs and routine maintenance to emergency response and seasonal grounds care.
Your day will involve a dynamic mix of indoor and outdoor responsibilities. You will monitor the building and grounds to ensure a neat presentation, performing routine painting, plumbing, electrical wiring, and carpentry tasks using hand and power tools. Grounds maintenance duties include mowing, trimming shrubbery, cultivating flower beds, and managing snow, ice, and debris removal. You will also be responsible for trash disposal and the safe storage of all supplies.
Safety and security are paramount. You will maintain tools and equipment in a clean, orderly manner, ensure the building's security during and after jobs, and immediately report any security violations or environmental hazards. The role demands the ability to function in all weather conditions and handle medium to heavy physical work, including lifting up to 100 lbs. You will also interact with residents, handling complaints with discretion and adhering strictly to company health and safety policies.

High School diploma or Equivalent. 1-2 years' experience in maintenance and/or construction supervision.
