About the Role

As a Pet Stylist, you will be the heart of our grooming salon, providing professional grooming services that ensure every pet looks and feels their best. This role is more than just a job; it is an opportunity to showcase your creativity, expertise, and genuine passion for animals in a dynamic environment.

Your day-to-day involves performing expert-level grooming services, including bathing, drying, brushing, haircuts, styling, and specialized care like nail trimming and ear cleaning. You will prioritize the safety, comfort, and well-being of every animal in your care, evaluating individual needs based on coat type, skin conditions, and temperament. Beyond the grooming table, you will interact professionally with pet parents, offering custom recommendations on maintenance and at-home care to promote the overall health of their pets.

We provide all the necessary supplies and state-of-the-art equipment, from advanced bathing systems to professional clippers and dryers. This position offers a clear path for growth, with opportunities to advance into roles such as Grooming Salon Leader, Grooming Mentor, or Grooming Instructor.

Hiring Process

To join our team, candidates must successfully complete the Pet Stylist Apprentice program with Petco, or possess previous experience as a professional groomer and/or completion of a technical grooming training program. We look for individuals with a high school diploma or GED (preferred), a genuine passion for animals, and the ability to handle pets of all sizes and temperaments with care.
