About the Role
As a Pet Stylist, you will be the heart of our grooming salon, providing professional grooming services that ensure every pet looks and feels their best. This role is more than just a job; it is an opportunity to showcase your creativity, passion for animals, and expertise in a dynamic environment.
Your day will involve performing expert-level grooming services, including bathing, drying, brushing, haircuts, styling, and specialized care like nail trimming and ear cleaning. You will prioritize the safety, comfort, and well-being of every animal in your care while delivering exceptional customer service to pet parents. Whether you are evaluating a pet's unique needs, educating owners on at-home care, or maintaining a clean and safe salon environment, your attention to detail and empathy will drive success.
This position offers a clear path for growth, with opportunities to advance into roles such as Grooming Salon Leader, Grooming Mentor, or Grooming Instructor. You will work with state-of-the-art equipment and have access to all necessary supplies, supported by a team that values your unique superpowers.
Hiring Process
To join our team, candidates must successfully complete the Pet Stylist Apprentice program with Petco, or possess previous experience as a professional groomer and/or completion of a technical grooming training program. We look for individuals with a genuine passion for animals, expert knowledge of various breeds, and the ability to handle pets of all sizes and temperaments with care.
