About the Role

As a Grocery Clerk, you will create an outstanding customer experience through exceptional service while establishing and maintaining a safe and clean environment that encourages customers to return. You will assist the department manager in reaching sales and profit goals while monitoring all established quality assurance standards.

Your day will involve helping customers discover new items, informing them of food specials, and recommending products to ensure they get what they need. You will check product quality to ensure freshness, review "sell by" dates, and maintain proper temperatures in cases and coolers. Additionally, you will label, stock, and inventory department merchandise, stay current with seasonal and special ads, and adhere to all food safety regulations.

We embrace the "Customer 1st" strategy and encourage associates to deliver excellent service. You will create an environment where customers feel welcome, important, and appreciated by answering questions regarding products sold within the department and throughout the store. You will also reinforce safety programs by complying with safety procedures, identifying unsafe conditions, and practicing preventive maintenance on equipment.
