Internal Opportunity: Grant Manager & Fiscal Analyst

The Elko County School District is seeking an Internal Candidate to serve as the Grant Manager & Fiscal Analyst. This dual-function role sits at the intersection of strategic grant writing and rigorous fiscal management, ensuring the district meets its institutional goals through the complete lifecycle of federal, state, and private funding.

Reporting directly to the Chief Financial Officer, the successful candidate will oversee the Grants Fiscal Services Department. This position is critical for maintaining compliance with complex regulations while driving the district's strategic initiatives through competitive and formula-based grants. The role demands a proactive approach to building relationships with funding agencies and district constituents to ensure process efficiency and full compliance.

The Role in Action

In this capacity, you will manage the entire spectrum of grant operations, from drafting clear, well-organized applications on platforms like ePage and grants.gov to overseeing the final close-out of financial records. Your day-to-day work involves creating and coding grant budgets, developing expenditure forecasts, and performing complex account reconciliations in strict adherence to Governmental Accounting Standards Board (GASB) principles and GAAP.

You will be the guardian of fiscal integrity, ensuring timely and accurate cash draws in compliance with OMB guidelines and managing the financial lifecycle of grants through to the annual single audit. Beyond the numbers, you will coordinate essential consultations regarding federal grants (including Title I, IIa, and VI), conduct annual Tribal and Private School consultations, and provide training to schools and project directors on accounting requirements and grant provisions.
