Founded in 1819, the University of Cincinnati is a Carnegie 1 institution and one of the nation's best urban public research universities. Home to over 53,600 students and 12,000 faculty and staff, UC combines research prowess with a physical setting described by The New York Times as "the most ambitious campus design program in the country." As the anchor of the Cincinnati Innovation District, UC is a leader in cooperative education, the oldest in the country, and a member of the Big 12 Conference. The university contributes $10.6 billion in economic impact to the city and $22.7 billion to the state of Ohio.
UC is a mission-driven organization committed to student success and positively transforming the community through scholarship and service. We thrive on innovation, making an impact, and fostering an environment where staff and faculty are key contributors to UC's success. At UC, next is all of us.
The Cooperative Grants Office (CGO) is a centralized department within the Office of Research. The office is primarily responsible for the development, review, and submission of sponsored research proposals, ensuring they meet the rigorous standards of the university, funders, and federal requirements.
The Grant Administrator Pre-Award serves as a vital partner to Principal Investigators, assisting in the development of proposals for federal, state, and private funding sources. This role involves advising faculty on program design, budget development, and document editing while ensuring strict compliance with all sponsor requirements. The administrator works closely with an Authorized Organizational Representative to guarantee the timely submission of all necessary proposal documents. Success in this position requires the ability to adapt quickly to both simple and complex proposal submissions while building effective professional relationships across diverse university environments.
To apply, candidates must create a profile and submit a complete job application through the UC applicant portal. A resume and cover letter are required and must be attached before submission. Please note that "easy apply" applications submitted via other websites cannot be considered. Current UC employees must apply internally via SuccessFactors.
For questions regarding the recruiting process or to request accommodations with the application, please contact UC HR at jobs@uc.edu.
