At Medtronic, you can begin a life-long career of exploration and innovation while helping champion healthcare access and equity for all. We lead with purpose, breaking down barriers to innovation in a more connected, compassionate world. Our mission is to alleviate pain, restore health, and extend life, uniting a global team of 95,000+ passionate people who are engineers at heart—experimenting, creating, building, and solving to generate real solutions for real people.
We bring bold ideas forward with speed and decisiveness to put patients first in everything we do. In-person exchanges are invaluable to our work, and we are committed to fostering a culture of professional growth and cross-functional collaboration. This role is onsite in North Haven, CT (minimum 4 days/week) and requires travel up to 40% of the time (primarily domestic; occasionally international).
As a Global Support Engineer in Medtronic's Surgical Robotics organization, you will support the Hugo™ Robotic-Assisted Surgery System. This is a highly visible, hands-on technical role focused on ensuring system uptime, supporting complex clinical environments, and serving as the escalation point between Field Service, Engineering, R&D, and other cross-functional teams. You will thrive if you enjoy solving problems that don't yet have clear answers and figuring out what needs to be done next.
You will act as the technical bridge between Field Service Engineers, Product Engineering, R&D, Quality, Manufacturing, and Commercial teams. Your work involves supporting system installs, repairs, and critical uptime events, including time-sensitive escalations tied to live surgical cases. You will partner with Engineering and R&D to evaluate new concepts, provide feedback from real-world use, and influence design-for-service improvements.
The application window for this opening will close on 22 May 2026.
It is the policy of Medtronic to provide equal employment opportunity (EEO) to all persons regardless of age, color, national origin, citizenship status, physical or mental disability, race, religion, creed, gender, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity and/or expression, genetic information, marital status, status with regard to public assistance, veteran status, or any other characteristic protected by federal, state or local law. In addition, Medtronic will provide reasonable accommodations for qualified individuals with disabilities.
We are committed to fostering an environment where employees can thrive and make a meaningful impact. Your unique background and perspective are valued as we engineer the extraordinary.
