About the Role

This position serves as a pivotal bridge between technical GIS development and operational data stewardship. You will balance the maintenance of existing applications with the strategic design of new solutions, ensuring that advanced GIS technologies are seamlessly integrated into broader business processes. The role requires a deep understanding of cartographic principles to develop, assemble, and revise map products, while simultaneously managing the underlying database structures that power them.

In this hybrid capacity based in New Albany, OH, you will collaborate closely with client staff, engineers, and technical teams to resolve software issues and refine business processes for efficient application usage. Beyond development, you will provide primary support to GIS users, manage internet and web-based GIS platforms, and potentially lead or direct a GIS team. Your work will ensure that databases interface effectively with other systems while maintaining consistency in data stewardship and feature updates.
