About the Team

The Oregon Department of Transportation (ODOT) is dedicated to providing a safe and reliable multimodal transportation system that connects people and helps Oregon's communities and economy thrive. This role sits within the Policy, Data & Analysis Division, specifically in the Transportation Data Section under the Transparency, Accountability, and Performance (TAP) Program based in Salem.

ODOT is an Equal Employment Opportunity and Affirmative Action Employer. We encourage people from all backgrounds and abilities to apply and do not discriminate on the basis of race, religion, color, sex, age, national origin, disability, sexual orientation, or any other class protected by state or federal laws. Applicants with a disability may request a reasonable accommodation during the application process.

About the Role

As a Web Developer / System Analyst, you will serve as the technical expert for operating, maintaining, and developing information systems associated with the Transportation Project Tracker and Performance, Accountability, and Transparency websites. You will partner with stakeholders to develop and document requirements, supporting application development, geo-spatial application development, and systems integration. This position also plays a key role in strategic planning and aids customers in resolving complex problems and issues.

In this hybrid role, you will work in a standard office environment primarily at a computer workstation, with 1-2 days per week required in the office (typically Tuesdays and Wednesdays). You will be part of a team that values work/life balance, offering flexible work schedules and comprehensive benefits.

Hiring Process

Before applying, please visit the applicant information website to learn more about our process. Current State of Oregon employees must apply through their employee Workday profile.

To apply, complete the following steps:

  1. Fill out the application or attach a resume. Ensure your submitted experience fields or attached resume include dates (MM/YYYY) for each employer. Contact the recruiter if you need assistance with experience fields.
  2. Complete the checkbox-style questionnaire before submitting your application.
  3. After submission, respond to the public records request authorization and gender identity questionnaire. Current State employees will receive these tasks in their Workday inbox.
  4. Veterans or Oregon National Guard servicemembers may receive preference; a task to upload documents will be available after submission. For privacy reasons, do not attach military service documents to the main application.

If you are hired, you will be required to complete the US Department of Homeland Security's I-9 form. We do not offer visa sponsorship and are not an E-Verify participating employer.

Equal Opportunity

ODOT is committed to diversity and inclusion. We do not discriminate in admission or access to our programs, services, activities, hiring, and employment practices. For questions, concerns, or complaints regarding EEO/AA/ADA, contact 1-877-336-6368 (1-877-EEO-ODOT). This information can be made available in an alternative format by contacting ODOT Recruitment.

For general questions, call 971-345-1967 or email ODOTRecruitmentJS@odot.oregon.gov.
