As a Medical Laboratory Technologist (PRN I Third Shift) in Georgetown, KY, you will be an integral part of a growing family focused on supporting clinical excellence, teamwork, and innovation. In this role, you will utilize complex problem-solving skills to resolve clinical and instrument challenges, ensuring the integrity of our testing processes.
Your day will involve maintaining technical competency, understanding Laboratory Information System (LIS) functions, and performing downtime procedures effectively. You will evaluate procedures to choose appropriate investigative techniques, identify and resolve issues that could adversely affect test results, and determine the acceptability of specimens through visual inspections or by recognizing abnormal findings. When problems arise with specimens, test orders, or registration, you will take appropriate action and communicate professionally with coworkers and customers to manage delays.
