As the General Manager in Tupelo, MS, you will serve as the primary leader responsible for executing the store's strategic plan to achieve established standards, sales targets, and profitability. Your mission is to maximize customer satisfaction by effectively staffing, training, operating, and maintaining the store environment.
You will act as the face of Wendy's in the community, developing and executing local marketing plans that respond to market conditions and competitor activities. This role requires a hands-on leader who can balance high-level financial oversight with the day-to-day realities of restaurant operations, ensuring that Quality, Service, and Cleanliness (Q.S.C.) remain at the forefront of every shift.
Your day involves a dynamic mix of strategic planning and operational execution. You will analyze P&L information, set monthly budget goals, and communicate anticipated variances to the District Manager. A significant portion of your time is dedicated to people development—hiring, training, and mentoring both management and crew to ensure adequate bench strength and high performance.
You will conduct regular walk-throughs to engage directly with customers, resolve complaints within 24 hours, and ensure product and service quality. From managing labor efficiency and food costs to overseeing preventative maintenance and safety protocols, you will drive the store's success through consistent adherence to company policies and a commitment to operational excellence.
Candidates selected for this role will undergo a comprehensive interview process designed to assess operational knowledge, leadership capabilities, and cultural fit. This typically includes a review of your experience in the restaurant industry, a discussion on your approach to P&L management and team development, and an evaluation of your ability to perform all restaurant operations positions.
Wendy's is committed to providing equal employment opportunities to all employees and applicants for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, national origin, age, disability, or genetics.
