This position serves as a vital support pillar for the hospital's infrastructure, performing a variety of general maintenance, preventive maintenance, inspection, servicing, repair, overhaul, and construction duties across hospital buildings and grounds. The role requires versatility, carrying out tasks involving multiple maintenance crafts including sheet metal, plumbing, carpentry, tile setting, painting, electrical work, and roof maintenance.
You will be responsible for the containment of hospital costs and the conservation of supplies and equipment. Your day-to-day work involves ensuring the proper function of critical hospital systems, such as electrical power, air handling units, medical gas, and steam boilers. From repairing patient beds and electrical fixtures to managing snow removal and sanding functions, you will maintain a safe and functional environment for patients and staff alike.
