The Division of General Internal Medicine at the University of Connecticut School of Medicine is seeking a Board-Certified Lead Physician to establish and lead a brand-new clinic in Torrington, CT. As the Lead Physician, you will drive recruitment efforts and support rotating specialists within a supportive environment. You will collaborate closely with a dedicated team of APRNs, nurses, MAs, and administrative staff to ensure high-quality patient care. The role also includes significant opportunities for medical education, allowing you to mentor medical students, engage with the CLIC program, and participate in curriculum design and resident engagement at UConn Health's main campus in Farmington.
Your day will balance clinical leadership with educational mentorship. You will manage the operations of the new clinic while collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to deliver exceptional patient care. The position is designed to minimize administrative burdens, featuring minimal call responsibilities that can be handled remotely. Beyond the clinic, you will have the chance to teach at the main campus, contributing to the next generation of physicians while maintaining a strong connection to the broader UConn Health community.
