We are seeking a Board Certified/Board Eligible Gastroenterologist to join a growing team of seven physicians in Columbia. This role offers the opportunity to provide general GI services to a diverse community while collaborating with a multidisciplinary group that includes transplant hepatologists, an IBD specialist, an advanced endoscopist, and multiple Advanced Practice Practitioners.
About the Role
This position focuses on providing comprehensive care in gastroenterology and hepatology, primarily in an outpatient setting. You will perform procedures on a hospital campus or in our newly opened Ambulatory Surgical Center, utilizing the EPIC EMR and Provation endoscopy reporting system. The role includes general GI services such as colonoscopy, EGD, video capsule endoscopy, and pH Bravo placement. An academic rank with the University of South Carolina School of Medicine is available and commensurate with experience.
While subspecialty interests in advanced endoscopy, motility, and nutrition are welcome, they are not required. The team fosters a congenial work environment with strong support staff, ensuring an excellent work-life balance with an evenly split on-call schedule among providers.
