About the Organization

CHI Good Samaritan, a member of CommonSpirit Health™, is a 200-bed Level II Trauma Center located in Kearney, Nebraska. Serving as a regional referral center for Central Nebraska, the facility provides comprehensive care supported by internal flight and EMS services. The hospital features a 24-bed open ICU, 24/7 hospitalist service, and a full breadth of specialty care including hospitalists and intensivists.

About the Role

We are seeking a Board Certified/Board Eligible Gastroenterologist to join our established team in a blended practice encompassing inpatient consultations, procedures, and an outpatient clinic. This role offers a unique opportunity to lead the only ERCP service within a 200-mile radius. The position is ideal for new graduates seeking exceptional mentorship or experienced physicians looking to quickly build their practice through our integrated primary care and multi-specialty group.

You will work alongside Advanced Practice Providers and full support staff in a beautiful clinic located in a professional suite on the hospital campus. The team utilizes the EPIC EMR system across both the clinic and hospital settings. The role includes an academic affiliation with Creighton University School of Medicine.

Day in the Life

Your practice will be supported by resourced endoscopy suites equipped with Hi-Definition scopes, ERCP with Spyglass capabilities, EUS with linear and radial scopes, dedicated fluoroscopy, CO2 insufflation, and manometry/pH impedance equipment. All procedures are supported by exceptional anesthesia services, with MAC available for all cases. The facility features dedicated pre- and post-procedural areas, with all patient recovery managed directly within the GI lab.
