Key Responsibilities
- check_circlePerform preventative maintenance and troubleshoot laboratory instruments
- check_circleAssist in the orientation and training of new employees
- check_circleVerify patient test results by evaluating quality control sample values
- check_circleOperate hospital computer systems to manage patient account information
- check_circleEnsure compliance with local, state, federal, and national regulatory agencies
- check_circleMaintain cross-training in at least two technical laboratory areas
- check_circleMaintain strict confidentiality of all patient testing results and information
- check_circleCollect, prepare, and handle patient specimens for laboratory analysis
- check_circlePerform laboratory tests to aid in disease diagnosis across all age groups
- check_circleObtain blood and body fluids from inpatients, outpatients, and employees
Requirements
