About the Role
The Fuel Transport Driver is responsible for the safe, efficient, and professional delivery of petroleum products to customers. Reporting directly to the Transport General Manager, this role is critical in ensuring that logistics operations run smoothly across various weather conditions while maintaining strict adherence to federal, state, and local regulations.
Day-to-Day Operations
Drivers will manage the full cycle of fuel transport, including loading, unloading, and delivering products. A significant portion of the day involves maintaining accurate documentation, such as bills of lading, driver logs, and mileage records. The role requires constant communication with dispatch, office personnel, and customers to coordinate deliveries and resolve any issues that arise.
Maintaining a professional image is essential; drivers must ensure their trucks are kept clean and presentable at all times. The position demands physical capability, including the ability to walk up or down steps, work at heights, and lift up to 75 lbs. from ground to waist height.
Work Schedule
This is a full-time, exempt position paid on a per-load basis. Open availability is required, with flexibility to work various shifts, including mornings, evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays. Drivers must be prepared to work extra shifts to meet business needs.
