We are currently recruiting for a Front Desk Agent to join our team! As a Front Desk Agent / Guest Service professional, you will be the key point of contact for all our guests, ensuring they complete all Front Desk responsibilities while providing excellent customer service throughout their stay at the hotel.
Your role involves providing exceptional service in a professional manner, assisting guests with all questions and concerns, and maintaining the safety and security of the hotel within a team environment. You will serve as a Concierge, greeting guests in a welcoming manner and becoming familiar with the property to provide necessary information regarding rooms and services.
Your day will involve performing guest check-in and registration processes, including inputting and retrieving information from the computer, reviewing key details such as the number of guests, method of payment, and length of stay, and assigning rooms. You will verify guest methods of payment, follow cash-handling policies to post and file all charges to guest folios, and balance cash banks for your shift.
You will also perform guest check-outs by closing reservations, ensuring payments are posted, and expressing gratitude to guests for staying with us. Throughout your shift, you will review and account for all new and existing reservations, ensure the front office and lobby remain clean and presentable, and consistently adhere to uniform, grooming, and appearance standards.
You will monitor and track issues relating to hotel operations, inform management of any concerns, and follow safety and security procedures, reacting appropriately during emergency situations. Additionally, you will respond to guest complaints in a timely and professional manner, document all guest requests, and promptly answer the telephone to assist guests with information and reservations. You may also assist with restocking breakfast during breakfast hours.
This role requires a flexible attitude towards shifts, as you may need to work nights, weekends, and/or holidays. The position demands the physical ability to walk, sit, and stand during scheduled shifts and the ability to lift up to 40 lbs.
