Based at the Hampton Inn Memphis Walnut, the Front Office Agent serves as the first point of contact for our guests, ensuring an attentive, courteous, and efficient experience from check-in through checkout. This role is vital to maximizing room revenue and occupancy while maintaining the high standards of hospitality that define the Highgate brand.
In this position, you will manage the full guest journey, handling reservations, check-ins, and check-outs with a friendly demeanor. You will act as a local expert, answering inquiries about restaurants, transportation, and entertainment, while ensuring all cash handling and credit policies are followed. The role requires a deep familiarity with our rate structures, packages, and special promotions, as well as the ability to navigate our front desk computer systems and emergency procedures.
Beyond guest service, you will play a key operational role by completing shift checklists, balancing paperwork, and maintaining accurate reports on room rates and housekeeping. Success in this role demands the ability to multitask, prioritize departmental functions, and communicate effectively with both guests and team members. You will be expected to maintain a clean work area, adhere to strict grooming standards, and demonstrate initiative in anticipating guest needs or solving operational problems.
