About the Role
This position serves as a vital link in the freight logistics chain, responsible for transporting cargo across the dock area to and from trailers. The role ensures that goods are loaded, secured, and documented accurately to maintain the integrity of the supply chain. You will operate in a fast-paced, deadline-oriented environment where attention to detail and physical agility are essential for daily success.
Working Conditions
The role is performed in a dynamic dock environment that exposes employees to varied weather conditions, exhaust, fumes, dust, and noise. The pace is driven by operational needs, which may require flexibility in hours. The position involves frequent physical activity, including lifting and carrying hand freight of varying weights, moving dock plates weighing approximately 100 pounds, and opening trailer doors requiring significant lift force. Employees must be prepared to bend, twist, squat, and push or pull freight throughout the shift.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent. Prior experience in warehousing, freight handling, and/or forklift operations. Experience with hostler/yard mule duties if required. Previous dock/warehouse experience.
