Mindrift connects specialists with project-based AI opportunities for leading tech companies, focused on testing, evaluating, and improving AI systems. Participation is project-based, not permanent employment.
This opportunity is designed for legal consultants and attorneys with experience in US law who are open to part-time, non-permanent projects. While each project involves unique tasks, contributors will generate prompts that challenge AI, evaluate AI-generated solutions for correctness and logic, and apply structured scoring criteria to assess multi-step problem solving. The goal is to improve AI reasoning to align with first principles and accepted standards.
The process is straightforward: apply, pass qualifications, join a project, complete tasks, and get paid. For this specific project, tasks are estimated to require around 10–20 hours per week during active phases. This is an estimate, not a guaranteed workload, and applies only while the project is active.
Contributors can earn up to $75 per hour equivalent, depending on their level and pace of contribution. Compensation varies across projects depending on scope, complexity, and required expertise.

Mindrift is a specialized expert-sourcing platform operating within the technology, information, and internet sectors. Headquartered in Amsterdam, Netherlands, the service is operated by Toloka, a Nebius Group company publicly listed on Nasdaq as NBIS. Since 2014, the parent organization has established itself as a global provider of data services for artificial intelligence. The platform was founded by CEO and co-founder Olga Megorskaya to bridge the gap between highly skilled domain experts and major technology corporations developing advanced AI systems.
The platform serves a diverse network of over 10,000 professionals spanning more than 50 distinct domains and 15 different languages. These contributors include software engineers, physicians, linguists, and lawyers who participate in critical AI development workflows. Their work supports supervised fine-tuning, reinforcement learning from human feedback, model evaluation, and red-teaming initiatives for frontier models created by leading global technology firms.
Mindrift provides flexible, fully remote, project-based opportunities that allow experts to engage with generative AI development on a task-by-task basis. By facilitating these connections, the platform enables professionals to directly influence the evolution of artificial intelligence technologies while maintaining autonomy over their project involvement.
