About the Role
This is a freelance, project-based position with an estimated duration of up to 12 months, subject to amendment or termination upon completion of deliverables. As a Digital Writer/Editor, you will be the creative force behind the day-to-day creation and distribution of content across Versant Sports platforms. The role demands a candidate who is creative, adaptable, and efficient in crafting digital-first content optimized for the site, app, social media, and mobile environments.
You will serve as the bridge between editorial accuracy and audience reach, packaging Golf Channel's written and video assets to maximize engagement. Beyond golf, you will be assigned editorial articles across other sports genres, including basketball, volleyball, and soccer, aligning with Versant's broader sports priorities. Your day-to-day will involve managing content presentation on major homepages, overseeing video publishing and livestreams, and coordinating coverage strategies around tentpole events to ensure seamless integration between linear broadcasts and digital teams.
