This group works closely with executive leadership, technology partners, and regulatory bodies to ensure fraud prevention platforms are robust, compliant, and effective.
About the Role
The Fraud Data Analyst plays a pivotal role in researching, preventing, and managing fraud at scale. This position is designed for a data-driven professional who thrives on identifying emerging risks and staying ahead of evolving fraud trends. You will serve as a key driver in developing advanced analytics techniques, including machine learning and AI, to detect and mitigate threats in real-time.
In this hybrid role based at the Mountain America Center in Sandy, UT, you will collaborate with the VP of Fraud Management and the Director of Fraud Prevention and Analytics to execute strategic plans for fraud prevention platforms. Your day-to-day involves performing intensive analyses to assess fraud risk, conducting root cause analyses on incidents, and translating complex data findings into actionable recommendations for leadership. You will also partner with the Model Risk Management Committee to ensure detection models remain compliant and effective, while building robust dashboards to track performance and communicate results to senior stakeholders.

Requirements
- verifiedSix years' experience in fraud prevention in a progressive analytics position
- verifiedExperience in a financial fraud setting required
- verifiedBachelor's degree in data analytics, statistics, business, or related field from an accredited institution
- verifiedCFE, CISA, CISSP, or CEH certifications preferred
- verifiedAdvanced skills with Microsoft Office Suite
- verifiedExperience with data visualization using Power BI and Tableau
- verifiedAdvanced proficiency in R, Python, SAS, SPSS, SQL, and quantitative modeling
- verifiedAdvanced experience using fraud risk scoring, machine learning-based fraud detection, or SIEM tools
- verifiedExperience working in the Fraud Analytics or Investigations space within Financial Services industry
Nice to Have
Master or doctorate degree. Certifications such as CFE (Certified Fraud Examiner), CISA, CISSP, or CEH.
