About the Role
This position offers a day-in-the-life glimpse of a Forklift Operator at XPO, where you will efficiently sort, handle, load, and unload palletized and non-palletized freight. You will use motorized and manual equipment, such as pallet jacks and forklifts, to secure freight inside trailers while adhering to strict company safety policies. The role involves using mobile handheld devices to scan and track shipments, requiring strong attention to detail and the ability to perform basic math calculations.
As a Forklift Operator, you will work on a dock that is not climate-controlled for extended periods. The job requires lifting freight of various shapes, sizes, and weights (frequently up to 50 lbs. and occasionally greater than 70 lbs.), as well as safely walking and standing for extended periods. You must be prepared to reach, bend, climb, push, pull, twist, squat, and kneel as necessary to complete tasks in a safe and efficient manner.
