This position serves as a vital link in Refresco's manufacturing operations, ensuring the seamless flow of raw materials from incoming trucks to production lines. You will operate in a fast-paced, structured environment where precision and safety are paramount. The role exists to maintain high standards of food quality and safety while optimizing logistics through the use of advanced warehouse management systems.
Your day will involve operating powered industrial trucks (forklifts) to load and unload materials, utilizing Vehicle Mounted Units (VMUs) to interact with the SAP database for inventory validation. Beyond driving, you will be responsible for pre-trip inspections, battery or propane tank changes, and maintaining a clean, safe work area. You may also step in to operate production machines as needed, requiring adaptability in a setting that can range from hot to cold temperatures with varying noise levels.
The production plant is a dynamic environment with numerous moving parts. Shifts may include weekdays, weekends, evenings, overnight hours, and holidays, with overtime scheduled as required. The role demands physical stamina, including the ability to stand, walk, and lift up to 50 lbs, alongside the mental focus to meet production quotas and deadlines.
