Whitley Penn is a leading CPA and consulting firm recognized as one of the region's most distinguished and fastest-growing public accounting firms. Our Forensic & Litigation Services (FLS) department specializes in providing a full range of litigation support services, helping attorneys and clients navigate complex financial issues. We focus primarily on marital property and divorce-related financial matters, as well as a wide array of business disputes.
We believe in working within collaborative teams with an open-door policy that encourages entrepreneurial thinking. Our culture is built on the idea that we are all part of the same family, where each person matters. We learn, innovate, and succeed by sharing knowledge, embracing diversity, and working together.
As a Senior Associate in our Matrimonial & Business Disputes department, you will be a vital part of our team, assisting with forensic accounting, litigation support, and valuation engagements. Your work will directly support directors in developing strategic recommendations and delivering comprehensive reports to managing directors.
In this fully on-site role based in Austin, you will play a key part in preparing testifying experts for client meetings, depositions, and trials. This involves organizing files, creating work paper binders, and collaborating on the development of testimony outlines and demonstrative exhibits. You will also take on leadership responsibilities by managing projects, delegating assignments, and leading departmental training for analysts to foster a learning environment of continuous improvement. Additionally, you will review the work of associates, ensuring accuracy in financial analysis and formatting, while contributing to recruiting efforts and professional development programs.
We are looking for candidates with 2+ years of progressive experience in accounting or finance, preferably within a professional services environment. If you have a Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance, along with a passion for litigation support and expert services, we encourage you to apply. A CPA license or advanced degree is a plus.
To join our family, you should possess strong project management and communication skills, along with a desire to lead teams and a commitment to ethics and compliance. We value individuals who are eager to continually learn and gain knowledge in financial standards, models, and tools.
