About the Role
Our Forensic & Litigation Services (FLS) department offers a comprehensive range of litigation support services. This Associate role is dedicated to helping attorneys and their clients understand and resolve complex financial issues, with a primary specialization in marital property and divorce-related financial matters, as well as a wide array of business disputes.
In this fully on-site position based in Fort Worth, you will work within the Matrimonial & Business Disputes team. You will serve as a vital support member, assisting with forensic accounting, valuation engagements, and investigations. Your day-to-day involves organizing and reviewing client documents, researching property records and entity filings, and preparing exhibits for depositions, mediations, and trials. You will also play a mentorship role by serving as a "Buddy" to interns, helping them assimilate into the department and firm culture.

The role requires strong written and oral communication skills to interact effectively with team members, clients, attorneys, and referral sources. Key Responsibilities

- check_circlePrepare document request lists and research property records, entity filings, and industry data
- check_circleSchedule financial and tax return information and identify relevant entities for organizational charts
- check_circleAttend client meetings with partners and managers to determine engagement scope and expectations
- check_circleAssist with forensic accounting, litigation support, and valuation engagements for marital and business disputes
- check_circleAssist in deposition, mediation, and trial preparation strategies and prepare exhibits
- check_circleServe as a mentor to interns and assist them in assimilating into the department and firm
- check_circleEnsure all documents are reviewed and relevant facts are provided to expert witnesses
Requirements
- verified1+ years of experience in public accounting
- verifiedBachelor's degree in accounting or finance
- verifiedCPA license or working toward eligibility to sit for the CPA exam preferred
- verifiedProficiency in MS Office
- verifiedSkills in ethics and compliance, financial standards, models and tools
- verifiedSkills in project management
Nice to Have
Advanced degree in a related field. CPA license.
