Foodservice is a critical component of Core-Mark's value proposition to the convenience retail channel. As a Food Service Support Representative, you will serve as a Foodservice Ambassador, developing and promoting foodservice initiatives by partnering with local sales teams and customers. Your mission is to educate and advise current and prospective customers on entering the foodservice business or enhancing their existing programs.
In this role, you will advocate for all Private Brand Sales and Marketing Efforts, acting as a bridge between the company and the market. You will be responsible for facilitating the implementation of food programs, conducting in-field training, and managing food and beverage demonstrations. Success in this position requires a blend of strong leadership, presentation skills, and deep knowledge of food service trends to effectively lead brand discussions and drive growth strategies.
Your work will take you across a territory spanning North Dakota and Northwest Minnesota, requiring daily travel and occasional overnight stays. You will spend your time conducting weekly field visits with suppliers and the sales team to identify opportunities and present Core-Mark Food Service Programs to key customers. A significant portion of your day involves in-field consultation with strategic accounts, recommending growth strategies around new products, preparation methods, and merchandising. You will also manage on-site and off-site demonstrations, prepare sample kits, and participate in regional trade shows and sales meetings to execute business action plans.
