The Food Service Director is a management position responsible for developing and executing dining solutions that meet customer needs and tastes. This role oversees and manages dining operations where customers order prepared foods from a menu. You will partner with client management to identify needs and effectively communicate operational progress, ensuring food services align with the Executional Framework and the client's mission and vision, including sustainable practices.
In this role, you will lead, mentor, and engage teams to maximize their contributions, from recruiting and training to coaching and performance management. You will ensure safety and sanitation standards are met while managing resources to maintain quality and cost control. Your day-to-day involves establishing systems for ordering, receiving, storing, preparing, and serving food, as well as menu planning and development. You will also coordinate unit personnel regarding production, merchandising, and labor management, and may participate in the sales process and contract negotiations to support sales growth and client retention.
