The Sous Chef is a pivotal leader within our kitchen, stepping in to direct and coordinate the work of the culinary team in the absence of the Executive Chef, Kitchen Manager, or Prepared Foods Team Leader. This role exists to ensure operational excellence by managing inventory, planning menus, and implementing rigorous sanitation and quality control programs. Beyond daily operations, the Sous Chef is expected to bring innovative ideas to stimulate business growth while meeting customer requirements and maximizing company profits.
In this position, you will actively foster a culture of safety, prioritizing food safety, Team Member safety, and customer safety at all times. You will lead by example, demonstrating high standards of integrity in every interaction with internal and external customers. The role also involves cultivating an environment that embraces diversity, inclusion, and respect for Team Members, Customers, Vendors, and the Community. You will be responsible for training, directing, and managing kitchen Team Members, ensuring that every dish meets the highest quality standards through physical and visual inspections.
