As a key leader within the restaurant, you will plan, organize, and coordinate the staff and resources of the service areas to ensure efficient, well-prepared, and profitable food and beverage operations. Reporting directly to the General Manager, this position is essential for maintaining the high standards that define our guest experience. You will be prepared to oversee other restaurant staff and resources as needed, requiring a comprehensive understanding of the responsibilities associated with the Bar Manager and Host/Hostess Manager roles.
Your day-to-day impact involves fostering a positive, safe, and welcoming environment. You will engage directly with guests to ensure satisfaction, conducting table touches and resolving complaints to turn dissatisfied visitors into returning guests. By imparting the importance of speed of service and acting with urgency, you will drive the operational rhythm of the restaurant. Additionally, you will support the General Manager in daily operations, monitor safety standards, and ensure sanitation protocols are strictly followed across all service areas.
Beyond operations, you will play a vital role in team development by hiring, training, and scheduling service staff. You will enforce uniform and appearance standards, prepare side work, and manage floor plans to ensure the restaurant is fully staffed for all shifts. Your leadership ensures that service staff are aware of promotions and provide exceptional service following all steps of service, while also handling critical managerial duties such as voids, comps, and check splitting.
