The Front of House (FOH) Supervisor at Chickie's & Pete's is responsible for planning, organizing, and coordinating staff and resources to ensure the efficient, well-prepared, and profitable service of food and beverages. This role serves as a critical support to the General Manager, overseeing daily restaurant operations and ensuring that all service standards are met. While the position does not include hiring, firing, disciplining, or scheduling authority, the FOH Supervisor acts as a key leader on the floor, stepping in to manage other staff and resources as needed based on the General Manager's discretion.
Success in this role requires a positive attitude and the ability to engage with guests to ensure satisfaction through active table touches and prompt resolution of any complaints. The FOH Supervisor monitors the actions of both staff and guests to maintain a safe working and dining environment, ensuring that safety standards are followed and accident reports are completed promptly if injuries occur.
Daily responsibilities include overseeing the cleaning of service areas and equipment to maintain sanitation, ensuring staff adhere to proper uniform and appearance standards, and verifying that food handling practices are sanitary. The supervisor also ensures the team is aware of store, food, and beverage promotions and supports the General Manager in executing daily operations. From setting up and opening the location to checking out and closing the restaurant, the FOH Supervisor ensures the flow of service is seamless, including managing cash drawers, settling bar drawers, and handling Micros manager duties such as voids, comps, and splitting checks.
