As a Fire Life Safety Technician, you will be the backbone of our fire protection operations, responsible for the end-to-end lifecycle of fire sprinkler systems. Your work ensures the safety of commercial and industrial facilities by laying out, fabricating, assembling, and installing complex piping networks. Beyond installation, you will maintain critical infrastructure, including piping systems, fixtures, and industrial processing units, ensuring they meet rigorous safety standards and product specifications.
This role blends hands-on technical craftsmanship with leadership. You will not only execute precise tasks like cutting, threading, and bonding pipes but also mentor Fire Sprinkler Fitter Apprentices and Helpers, guiding them on proper installation techniques and safety protocols. Whether working independently on a site or collaborating within a team, you will be the expert on-site, interpreting blueprints, calculating material measurements, and troubleshooting issues to keep projects on schedule.
You will operate in a dynamic environment that frequently takes you both inside and outside, often in varying temperatures ranging from hot to cold. The job site may present challenges such as loud noises, dust, fumes, cramped quarters, and electrical hazards. You will frequently work at heights, on ladders, and step stools, and must be prepared to navigate uneven or slippery surfaces. Safety is paramount; consistent use of personal protective equipment is required at all times.
The role involves frequent local travel, with occasional regional and non-regional trips to different job sites. You will be responsible for maintaining the company-provided vehicle in accordance with company policies.
