The Floating Community Manager is a dynamic leadership position dedicated to the stewardship of affordable housing communities across Pratum's nationwide portfolio. This role exists to ensure operational excellence and resident satisfaction in multifamily properties where stability and compliance are paramount. Unlike traditional on-site roles, this position requires a high degree of mobility, serving as a vital support system for multiple communities simultaneously.
While the primary focus area is the Washington DC Metropolitan region (including Virginia and Maryland), the role demands overnight travel to any state within the portfolio to provide operational coverage. You will act as a bridge between corporate strategy and on-the-ground execution, managing day-to-day outreach, sales, and customer service efforts to exceed performance targets. Your day will involve leading staffing and training initiatives, ensuring strict adherence to Fair Housing and regulatory requirements, and driving resident engagement through social and educational events.
To succeed in this unique environment, candidates must reside within 30 minutes of a major airport in the mid-Atlantic (e.g., DC, MD, VA) and possess reliable transportation. The role requires flexibility to work seven days a week, 52 weeks a year, including on-call duties and after-hours resident events, ensuring that property needs are met regardless of staffing limitations.
Work model: On-site
