The Flight Services Specialist role is a specialized position that combines key responsibilities from Fleet Management, designed to ensure the safety and efficiency of flight operations during non-standard hours. Acting as the primary liaison for pilots, vendors, and clients, this role is critical for maintaining seamless communication and operational continuity when the sun goes down.
You will serve as the overnight point of contact for flight crews and all other departments, managing flight assignments, planning, and real-time flight following. Your day-to-day involves monitoring aircraft in-flight status, handling weather updates, and coordinating responses to unscheduled events or diversions. Whether reviewing complex flight logs, verifying fuel expenses, or assessing new bookings against runway conditions and NOTAMs, you will ensure every detail is accounted for before a plane takes off.
This position requires a high degree of autonomy and initiative. You will be the first line of defense for recovering from mechanical issues, managing pop-up charter flights, and coordinating crew swaps. Beyond operational logistics, you will interact directly with members and owners via various channels, understanding when to escalate issues and ensuring that the Jet Linx core values and the promise to "Supply the High" are demonstrated in every interaction.
This role operates on a shift schedule that includes overnight hours or a swing shift starting in the early morning. The specific overnight window runs from 4:00 PM to 2:30 AM, with a dedicated responsibility for handling phone calls between 2:30 AM and 4:30 AM. The position demands regular and predictable attendance to support the continuous nature of aviation operations.
Jet Linx is committed to providing a competitive compensation and benefits package to its team members. We foster a culture where individuals can exercise independent judgment and take initiative to resolve complex problems in a fast-paced environment. Our team values confidentiality, attention to detail, and the ability to adapt to frequent changes in procedures and outcomes.
Jet Linx is an equal opportunity employer. We celebrate diversity and are committed to creating an inclusive environment for all employees and applicants.
