System Transport has been hauling what builds America since 1972. We combine the resources of a large company with the personal feel of a small business, keeping the country running with dedicated drivers behind the wheel. Our mission is to transport essential goods and materials—including glass, steel, aluminum, building materials, machinery, coils, and specialty metals—across the western region of America.
As a CDL-A Regional Flatbed Driver for Division 290, you will operate flatbed trucks out of our Kansas City, MO terminal. This role is designed for experienced drivers, though we are currently accepting applications from recent CDL-A graduates through May 31, 2026. You will be responsible for transporting critical materials, which includes tarping loads approximately 70% of the time; drivers must be physically capable of lifting a 90-pound tarp onto a 5-foot high platform twice.
Our fleet consists of the newest flatbed trucks equipped with cutting-edge technologies for your comfort and safety, including lane departure and forward collision warning systems, hard brake monitoring, and satellite communication devices. Every tractor is meticulously maintained, and our 24/7/365 road service staff ensures that no truck leaves the shop until it is 100% ready for the road.
You will enjoy a schedule that offers home time off most weekends for a 34-hour reset. While home time can vary by division, this opportunity is specifically for Division 290. Drivers utilize our award-winning Driver Portal app, built by drivers for drivers, to receive real-time updates, access pay information, and manage trip data. We also offer a transition package to support you when changing jobs, including orientation pay to help you focus on driving while we handle the rest.
To join our team, qualified applicants must possess a valid Class A CDL, be at least 21 years old, and maintain a safe driving record. The hiring process includes a background check, a clean drug test, and a clean Clearinghouse result. For flatbed opportunities, candidates must pass a physical test demonstrating the ability to lift a 90-pound tarp onto a 5-foot high platform twice. Recent CDL-A graduates are encouraged to apply during our special offer period.
Interested candidates can call 1-866-725-5083 to speak with a recruiter about route options and the pay package. Applications are accepted until May 31, 2026.
System Transport is an Equal Opportunity Employer committed to fair pay and equal opportunity for all employees. We consider qualified applicants regardless of background. Please note that while we do not allow pets, we do permit riders aged 7 and up after 90 days of safe driving.
