About the Role
Fitness Managers lead and manage the training experience, serving as passionate leaders committed to delivering positive results. In this role, you will drive culture, develop your team, and create an exceptional member experience by partnering with the General Manager and Regional Personal Training Manager. Your mission is to deliver the business brand and achieve goals by fostering a consistent, welcoming community where members feel supported and motivated.
You will be the face of the club's fitness department, ensuring that every interaction—from initial member inquiries to ongoing training sessions—upholds high standards of professionalism and safety. By balancing operational efficiency with a genuine desire to help members succeed, you will help the club grow while maintaining a clean, safe, and fun environment.

Key Responsibilities
- check_circleOversee fitness sales, revenue, promotional activities, and general administration
- check_circleMaintain member retention by making 30-50 telephone calls per day
- check_circleConduct weekly audits of Personal Training agreements, tracking sales and scheduling sessions
- check_circleAssist in recruiting, hiring, onboarding, and training Personal Trainers
- check_circleManage payroll budgets and ensure proper management of the Personal Training team schedule
- check_circleConduct weekly meetings with Personal Trainers to review performance and provide guidance
- check_circlePartner with General Manager to identify future leaders and implement learning plans
- check_circleMeet with prospective members to provide information while maintaining high professional standards
- check_circleManage departmental budget and meet monthly, quarterly, and yearly financial targets
- check_circleObserve, shadow, and provide feedback to Personal Trainers to ensure positive member experience
Requirements
- verifiedCollege degree in business, retail or hospitality preferred
- verifiedCurrent Personal Training certification from an approved accredited program required
- verified1 year experience in fitness or retail management
- verifiedFour year or advanced degree in related field may be submitted in lieu of personal training certificate
- verifiedCPR/AED certification required first 30 days of hire
- verifiedProficient at MS Excel, MS Outlook and MS Word
Nice to Have
College degree in business, retail or hospitality. Additional coursework in physical education, nutrition, physiology, and exercise science. Knowledge, experience, and understanding of fitness including equipment, personal training, and group fitness.
