The Fiscal Specialist serves as a critical financial partner within the College of Tropical Agriculture and Human Resilience (CTAHR) Administrative Services. Based at the University of Hawaii at Manoa, this permanent, full-time position supports the fiscal integrity of the college by managing complex extramural grants, state funds, and federal accounts. The role acts as a bridge between Principal Investigators, departmental leadership, and the Office of Research Services, ensuring that financial operations align with rigorous compliance standards.
In this capacity, you will not only generate essential financial reports but also serve as a lead functional advisor, guiding faculty through budget preparation, proposal development, and cost-sharing obligations. The position requires a proactive approach to monitoring expenditures, resolving complex accounting discrepancies, and developing internal procedures that enhance operational efficiency. As a working supervisor, you will also oversee designated personnel, fostering a collaborative environment dedicated to accurate and timely financial stewardship.
