About the Role
As a Fire Protection Trade Manager, you will lead and oversee the fire protection field installation process for new construction projects. This role is defined by a hands-on, teacher-and-coach leadership approach. You will be responsible for ensuring fire protection systems are installed correctly, safely, and efficiently in accordance with design documents, codes, ACI standards, and project schedules.
A core part of your day involves actively mentoring foremen, fitters, mechanics, and apprentices. You will provide clear instruction, field training, and constructive feedback to continuously improve workmanship, productivity, and professional development. You will serve as a vital link between the construction team, planning, scheduling, and engineering functions, ensuring that changes and problems are documented and resolved promptly.
This position reports to our Richmond, VA Headquarters and surrounding job sites. The role requires the ability to report to multiple job sites as assigned, including working varying schedules that may require extended hours (evenings, weekends, and holidays) and adhering to client-specific safety standards.
