BGS is seeking a Financial Project Analyst to support the U.S. Department of Energy's (DOE) Office of Critical Material and Energy Innovations (CMEI) and the Integrated Energy System Office (IESO). This role is designed to support Technical Project Officers in managing a financial assistance project portfolio, conducting risk assessments, and analyzing tasks, milestones, and funding activities across multiple SETO project awards.
In this position, you will serve as a critical partner to the federal budget lead, ensuring all budget-related information is accurate, up-to-date, and readily available for requests. You will work closely with Program Managers and Technology Managers to ensure program budget needs are met and that budgetary actions for awards are executed accurately and timely. The role involves applying active project management principles to review budgets, quarterly reports, technical evaluations, and invoices at the program, sub-program, and project levels. You will also be responsible for planning, initiating, and closing out projects in compliance with the Code of Federal Regulations (CFR) and the Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR), while anticipating and resolving problems that arise in assigned projects.
