This position serves as a strategic partner in driving the remediation of Internal Use Software (IUS) accounting practices. The role exists to bridge the gap between complex technical requirements and sustainable financial reporting, ensuring compliance with SFFAS 10 standards. You will be instrumental in evolving how the organization manages the capitalization, valuation, and amortization of software assets, moving from fragmented current-state practices to a repeatable, defensible methodology.
In this capacity, you will work at the intersection of accounting, IT, and program stakeholders. Your day-to-day involves translating technical accounting requirements into robust business processes, designing valuation controls, and strengthening governance over source data. The goal is to enhance audit readiness and establish a framework that supports accurate financial reporting for General Property, Plant, and Equipment (GPP&E) related to internal software.
Candidates selected for this role must possess a valid DOD Full Secret clearance. The selection process will focus on verifying this clearance status alongside a deep assessment of your experience in financial reporting remediation and accounting policy development.
We are committed to building a diverse and inclusive workforce. All qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, disability, or veteran status.
