The Finance Reporting Analyst reports to the Accounting and Reporting Manager and is primarily responsible for all revenue and expense accounting at the Graduate Center for Tax Levy and Non-Tax Levy, including Tuition and Fees and Adult Continuing Education ("ACE"). This position requires the incumbent to work in the office five days a week.
In this role, you will partner with the finance team to ensure the integrity of financial data and reporting. You will perform account analytics for balance sheet accounts, assist with fiscal mid-year and year-end accounting close, and prepare revenue projections. A key part of your day involves tracking, analyzing, and preparing reports for the President, Provost, Senior Staff, and the Central Office, covering tuition waivers, write-offs, bad debt, and other critical metrics.
You will also review accruals to ensure timely reconciliation, prepare budget-to-actual and prior-year-to-current-year analyses with variance explanations, and develop ad hoc reports as needed. Additionally, you will assist with the implementation of financial systems, including the conversion from PeopleSoft to Workday, and support internal and external audits.
