The Director of Finance serves as a vital member of the District's Cabinet, reporting directly to the Superintendent. This role is designed to provide sound fiscal management for the entire district, ensuring the integrity of all financial operations. You will lead the business office department, cultivating a collaborative, solution-oriented culture while overseeing the development and management of the district budget. Your work will directly impact the district's ability to serve its students by ensuring all revenue and expenditures are properly recorded, accounted for, and compliant with state and federal regulations.
In this position, you will act as the primary financial advisor to the Superintendent and Governing Board, preparing critical reports on the district's financial condition. You will guide the district through complex financial landscapes, from managing property tax rates and bond elections to overseeing external audits and grant compliance. The role requires a strategic leader who can balance daily operational needs with long-range financial planning, ensuring the district remains financially healthy and transparent.
