Santander is a global leader and innovator in the financial services industry, evolving from a high-impact brand into a technology-driven organization. Our people are at the heart of this journey, driving a customer-centric transformation that values bold thinking, innovation, and the courage to challenge what's possible. This is more than a strategic shift; it is a chance for driven professionals to grow, learn, and make a real difference within the Corporate Investment Banking (CIB) division.
The Corporate Investment Banking Finance Product Control Vice President serves as a central subject matter expert, managing and monitoring large-scale project and accounting processes. This role exists to provide critical guidance, interpretation, and communication of policy changes to business lines and the accounting team, ensuring alignment with firm-wide goals.
In this position, you will direct accounting teams by reviewing financial information, reporting, and disclosures while ensuring strict compliance with regulatory standards. You will research and analyze new products and best practices, proposing findings to the CFO Director to drive efficiency. The role requires collaborating cross-functionally with all lines of business to facilitate the timely implementation of new accounting requirements and establishing collaborative relationships with internal and external stakeholders. You will also coach and delegate work to junior professionals, representing the organization as a primary resource for specific accounting projects and initiatives.
Additionally, the CIB Pipeline Manager component of this role oversees the end-to-end flow of banking transactions, client onboarding, and technical projects. Acting as a central coordinator between business lines, technology, and risk management, you will ensure efficient delivery from initiation to completion. This involves managing the lifecycle of banking products, tracking progress through structured project plans, and handling escalations regarding delays or service issues. You will provide leadership with metrics on pipeline performance and portfolio analytics to drive decision-making, ensuring all deals meet regulatory, security, and internal risk standards.
