The Manager of Business/Finance serves as a strategic leader for Financial Operations, bridging the gap between operating units and centralized accounting functions. This position is designed to drive effective management of human, capital, and material resources while fostering collaboration across administration, nursing, clinical operations, and medical staff.
In this role, you will lead initiatives in business and decision analytics, financial planning, budgeting, procurement, and facilities management. A key focus is identifying issues within existing programs and recommending timely, effective solutions to enhance performance. You will independently develop and produce financial reports for VCUHS leadership, participating in the development of program expansions and new venture proposals alongside senior administration.
The position requires navigating a fast-paced environment where you must adapt to frequent changes while managing multiple priorities. While the core duties involve data analysis and process improvement, the role also entails interfacing with IT and Decision Support to ensure compliance with governmental rules and regulations.
Candidates will be evaluated based on their experience in finance or accounting within a healthcare environment, their proficiency with data analysis tools, and their ability to lead staff in developing financial reports and budgets. The selection process prioritizes candidates who demonstrate strong reasoning, problem-solving skills, and the ability to work effectively in a collaborative, multi-departmental setting.
We are an Equal Opportunity Employer committed to diversity and inclusion. We consider qualified applicants regardless of background, race, color, religion, sex, national origin, age, disability, or veteran status.
