About the Role
We are seeking a detail-oriented File Clerk to support document organization and records management in Lakewood, Washington. This contract position is designed for individuals who thrive in structured, fast-paced environments and are comfortable handling both physical and electronic documents. The core mission of this role is to ensure that accurate filing systems are maintained, records are prepared efficiently for storage or retrieval, and sensitive information is handled with the utmost care and discretion.
In this position, you will be the backbone of our document workflow. Your day-to-day involves organizing and sorting paper records to ensure quick and accurate location, preparing and labeling file boxes for storage, and scanning documents into digital systems while verifying image quality. You will also manage electronic filing records by uploading, indexing, and categorizing documents, as well as performing routine audits to identify missing or misfiled items. A key part of your responsibility is supporting document intake by reviewing materials for proper classification before filing and distributing requested files to team members in a timely manner.
