Saalex is seeking multiple Field Service Engineer I professionals to support the Navy in Tidewater, VA, and San Diego, CA. This role is contingent on a contract award and involves hands-on technical support, system integration, and the sustainment of mission-critical infrastructure across CONUS and OCONUS environments.
As a Field Service Engineer I, you will be the frontline technical resource at fielded locations. Your day-to-day will involve installing, configuring, and maintaining IT hardware, network equipment, and peripheral systems. You will perform on-site troubleshooting and repairs for servers, workstations, and network devices, ensuring operational readiness through preventive maintenance and system health checks. Collaboration with engineering, network, and cybersecurity teams will be essential to resolve technical issues and ensure compliance with DoD cybersecurity policies, including STIGs and system hardening requirements. Additionally, you will support logistics coordination for equipment and spares while documenting all field activities and configurations according to program standards.
This position is contingent on a contract award. Candidates must be eligible to obtain and maintain a Secret, Top Secret, or SCI clearance, which requires US citizenship and a security investigation. Active clearances are preferred.

Experience supporting DoD or Navy fielded systems and remote sites. Familiarity with ruggedized systems, tactical communications, or deployed environments. Experience with imaging, system deployment tools, or configuration scripts. Active Secret, Top Secret, or SCI clearance.
