About the Role
This position serves as a critical pillar in safeguarding the Credit Union's digital infrastructure. You will partner closely with the IT Infrastructure and Security Manager and the Network Engineer to establish and enforce rigorous physical and information security standards. Your work ensures the integrity of our systems by coordinating physical security matters with facilities management and driving continuous improvements in our security posture.
In this role, you will be the architect of our defense strategy, researching and recommending security enhancements, installing firewalls and endpoint protection, and managing the deployment of complex security software solutions. You will lead the conversion efforts to ensure data integrity while maintaining a robust patching and system hardening process across our VMWare farm. Beyond technical implementation, you will perform in-house penetration testing and social engineering assessments to proactively identify vulnerabilities.
Your day-to-day involves providing superior customer service to all Credit Union employees while managing production support for third-party systems. You will collaborate with vendors and subcontractors to monitor, triage, and resolve complex security issues, ensuring that comprehensive documentation and procedures are always in place for every production system.

Requirements
- verified4 year degree in Computer Sciences or similar

- verifiedWorking knowledge of VMWare's vSphere architecture or similar server virtualization platform
- verifiedWorking knowledge of network programming and configuration languages for Cisco, Extreme networks, Juniper, Fortinet and Palo Alto platforms
